Pander. A Webcomic.

	Habibi (p3rky_grrl) Until recently, Habibi was a Web-cam diva with thousands of adoring fans. She ran her webcam (whether she realizes it or not) in a bid for the attention that she never seemed to get from her parents. Her cute face, honest daily musings, and wacked out dream journal won her a decent size following until she shut the site down to prepare for college. Having run the webcam for several years, Habibi has developed a rather skewed view of human relationships due to fielding endless requests for "nood" photos and the fact that fanboys actually used to send her stuff for free. In the real world, Habibi tries to keep people at a comfortable emotional distance, yet subconsciously wants the same adoration that her webcam provided. Recent events have left Habibi extremely scared, vulnerable and unsure, even as she has started exhibiting uncontrolled flashes of an as yet unexplained power. In addition, Habibi and deCess have developed intense, complicated feelings for each other as the result of a sudden, dream-like interlude the two shared.
	Raj Raj and Mihail went to school with each other, although they rarely have anything to do with each other anymore. While Raj has all the aspects of a violent thug who grew up on the street, he is shrewd and savvy and has learned to rely on his instincts. He has killed at least one person already, and shows an odd combination of lack of remorse for his actions and concern for Habibi. He is reputed to be the leader of a street gang, and judging by Mihail's age, he must be around 20 years old. Raj has a relationship of some sort with deCess.
	deCess deCess has led a rough and tumble life that dragged her through many years of abusive homelife then dumped her on the street as a whore. With her often violent and nothing-to-lose attitude, most people steered clear of deCess, and no one has ever survived the mistake of backing her into a corner. Once the Dean took her in, deCess slowly started to unlearn the hard and violent lessons of the street. As she does so, is just starting to realize how damaged and vulnerable she really is. deCess has a relationship of some sort with Raj, yet has developed sudden, complicated feelings for Habibi.
	Jun Jun is a longtime fan of Habibi's p3rky_grrl website, and was rather distressed when Habibi decided to shut down her webcam. Jun then invited Habibi to Hawaii as a going away present, and this inadvertantly started the chain of events that lead to Habibi's rape. Since Jun and Habibi had been chatting/emailing on and off for a couple of years, it came as a great shock to Habibi to find that Jun is female. In addition, Habibi blamed Jun for her rape, which has cause Jun a great deal of distress. Jun is 21, and lives in San Francisco.
	Mihail Mihail is also a long time, but low rent, fan of p3rkygirl.com. Being a college student, he hasn't much cash to sling around, and unlike Jun, has never sent Habibi anything. Instead he used to hang out on the forums harassing the newbies. Habibi took a liking to his sense of humor, and they exchanged occasional email. If it weren't for Mihail, Habibi would have ended up dead. Mihail is a pretty straitforward and level headed guy, and very loyal to his friends. He has always thought of Habibi as just a friend, but this notion is being challenged as he finally meets her in the flesh and gets dragged into the dangers whirling around Habibi. Mihail and Raj are old friends that have long gone their separate ways.
	Jones Jones is yet another fan of p3rky_grrl living in the San Francisco bay area.
	Gri Gri is a unfathomable riddle to most. He comes and goes at unpredictable times, and is an uncanny (and sometimes uncomfortable) source of knowledge about many odd and mysterious things. He can often be persuaded to share this knowledge - for a price. He is tall and lanky, with a thick shock of white hair streaming down his back. He has never been seen without his sun glasses and hat. Yet even with his outlandish appearance, he has an odd knack for blending into the crowd until he wants to be noticed.
	The Master (Masuta) The term "master" (masuta) in Japanese is used to refer to the owner of an establishment such as a bar. No other meanings are implied. Master tends a small bar called "ido" tucked in the back alleys of San Francisco's Japantown. He apparently speaks only Japanese, yet always seems to have a odd assortment of characters in his establishment at any given time. Hushed rumors are sometimes heard in corner booths that Master has an strange way of knowing things before they happen. No matter what time of day or night, Master always seems to be working the bar, as if it is the only home that he has ever had or needed.
	Seizan Seizan used have the reputation of being a ferocious street fighter, but some unexplained event chased Seizan out of town at some point in the past. Whenever he is seen now (which is rarely), he is usually in a drunken haze. How much of his skill remains to him is currently unknown. Seizan seems to have had a relationship with Gri at some point in the past, and his drunken grin certainly makes an odd foil to Gri's dour nature. Master reserves a table at ido for Seizan wheneven he does comes to town.
	The Dean The Dean is currently a mysterious figure who obstensably runs a shelter for homeless street kids. He has a clear position of authority over Raj and deCess, who seem to greatly fear him. The Dean is a being of some power, and the limits of his abilities are unknown. It is clear that he can tap other people's power to feed his own, however.
	Rún Nothing much is known about Rún other than she is seaching for Seizan and that the Master greatly respects or fears her. She has taken an interest in Jun.
	Kai Kai is lawyer who arranges many mundane matters for Gri.
	Old Houda It is not certain that anything will ever be revealed about Old Houda.
